What you will need to make Shortbread biscuit

  • 100g butter
  • 90g caster sugar
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 170g plain flour
  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions:

  1. Combine the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl and mix well. Add the flour, baking powder and egg yolk and knead till a smooth dough forms.
  2. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut out shapes using the cutter of your choice. Place biscuits on a parchment-lined tray.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, or till lightly golden. Remove and cool on the tray.
  4. Enjoy
