What you will need to make Shortbread biscuit
- 100g butter
- 90g caster sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 170g plain flour
- 1 egg yolk
Instructions:
- Combine the butter, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl and mix well. Add the flour, baking powder and egg yolk and knead till a smooth dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface. Cut out shapes using the cutter of your choice. Place biscuits on a parchment-lined tray.
- Bake for 10 minutes, or till lightly golden. Remove and cool on the tray.
